Do you like the taste of plastic? If not, try out some of these tools. Bring them to social gatherings where you’re confident the hosts are offering disposable goods or there might not be enough reusable ones to go around.
Bamboo Utensils
For over a decade, I have been carrying a set of To-Go Ware bamboo utensils. They fit easily in my pocket or the smallest bag I might carry and they last a lifetime.
Plus, bamboo is naturally antibacterial, so if I lick them thoroughly, they’re probably clean enough, right?!
Collapsible Bowl
When I’m headed to a small gathering, an event with only hors d’oeuvres, or getting a single takeout item that fits in a bowl, I reach for a Collapse-It bowl. These collapsible silicone bowls seal in heat for a short while and flatten to half their normal height for transport.
I’ve been carrying granola in one to my BNI chapter every Thursday for almost three years of on-the-go breakfasts. With two in my arsenal, I can even offer one to a friend.
Stainless Multi-Level
My container of choice for potlucks and other more plentiful meals, as well as retreats and festivals where I’m required to bring my own dishes, is a To-Go Ware Tiffin. Sadly, my preferred model was discontinued.
Alternatively, To-Go Ware offers straight vertical food carriers in a few sizes. Or, try your luck on eBay if you hope to find another one like mine.
I have lots more in my arsenal of handy tools and gadgets that increase efficiency, reduce waste, and make life interesting. Curious? Give me a call!
